“Aruba, Jamaica…ooh I want to take you” there and to so many other destinations this spring. It’s all yours for indulging and even owning. So, in the spirit of the season, let’s “hop” to it!

Aruba

In its first international expansion, the OTH Hotels Resorts brings a new beachfront adults-only boutique hotel to the shores of Aruba. The Brickell Bay Beach Resort Aruba is situated on the island’s northern coast. The property is located beachside which allows guests to have toes in white sand just steps from the turquoise waters of Palm Beach. With only 96 guest rooms, there’s no expectation of crowds at the swim-up bar or on-site pool. Nearby off-site, there are numerous restaurants, world-class casinos, and lively night life. The Brickell Bay Beach Resort Aruba is the ideal space to relax before venturing out for an off-road excursion or other exciting adventure around the “one happy island”- you’ll be amazed that this renowned Wyndham brand with all its amenities is a boutique beauty that entices you without the big resort costs.

Jamaica

Appropriately named, The Pinnacle is literally the “high point” for Jamaicans returning home or international guests ready to make this their new island abode and just live above it all – especially if you are lucky enough to secure one of the 28th floor’s 4-and 5-bedroom penthouses. The Pinnacle elevates your destination experience in more ways than one.  Almost like a city within a city, with 423 residences, you may opt for a more intimate one-two- or three-bedroom apartment, or one of the 15 private villas complete with concierge services and options for curated shopping. The level of hospitality, top-tier amenities, adventure, and sights known and expected of the island do not escape this exclusive enclave. The resort is an oasis that lies between the Caribbean Sea and a lagoon on the Reading Peninsula in Montego Bay. With a diverse selection of restaurants and a rooftop bar, tennis and multi-sport courts, private club and spa, the activities are endless.

On the property, swim or lounge poolside or seaside at your very own intimate beach; head out to sea for an excursion from the marina or wander through the lush on-site nature reserve. The developer’s intention to protect and promote the natural world is further evident by the environmentally conscious efforts of strategically harnessing solar energy and harvesting rainwater for sustainability. Opportunities are endless to be captivated and entertained in and around the four towers of residences with stunning sea views, mountains at your back and a meandering lagoon at your side. It’s a beautiful blend of all things Jamaican with a cosmopolitan feel.  This ownership opportunity aims to please on all levels – come satisfy your indulgence and make your next residence The Pinnacle.

St. Marteen

Imagine opening the doors to your very own suite overlooking Indigo Bay on the southwest Dutch side of your exclusive tropical community, in beautiful St. Maarten. Vie L’Ven invites you to be the newest resident of one of their 90 private residences. Make it a boutique 600 square feet stay in a one bedroom or go for the den option and indulge yourself with a sprawling 6,000 square feet home, complete with two bedrooms and a den.

The internationally renowned and award-winning Studio Munge’s intentional selection of corals and blues as accents to the cream-white décor emote the Euro Caribbean flare of the island and punctuates a fusion of French and Dutch cultures which is also evident by the architectural firm HKS Architects’ design.

Leave the furnishing of your residence to the experts at Vie L’Ven. Yes, that’s an exclusive option offered to homeowners – they’ll coordinate bedroom sets, living and dining room additions, and more. Don’t forget your home comes with resort amenities as well. There are three pools on the premises and the children have their own kids’ center. The fitness center and world-class spa includes an outdoor experiential bathing garden and treatment spaces. Residents may even request a wellness membership complete with tailored programming to meet your needs. Of the three restaurants on site, the signature restaurant will boast a Michelin-star chef and will serve the incomparable island fare that is known in the culinary world.

The island’s newest luxury resort and residences is slated to welcome guests and owners in 2028, so claim your stake now before they’re all gone. As the name beckons, Vie (French term for “full of life”) and L’Ven  (Dutch, meaning “to live”) – it’s your one “life to live”. With only 280 units available, 190 will be hotel rooms (60 of which will be suites) and 90 private residences priced from $800,000 to over $2 million – time is of the essence since sales are now open at Vie L’Ven Resort and Residences

The new Mercát Restaurant delights the senses with Mediterranean flavors at the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino. The name literally means market in Catalan. It’s an international smorgasbord of Mediterranean-inspired dishes across Spain, Southern France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, and Morocco.

Apart from the array of menu selections, the second hardest decision would be whether to dine indoors or al fresco with scenic ocean views. Perhaps mix it up, since the restaurant opens daily for a breakfast buffet, and a la carté lunch and dinner options. Savory and sweet fare highlights include starters of Mussels a la Provençale with Provencal herbs, onion, garlic, white wine, and grilled sourdough; scrumptious Fried Zucchini Chips with Tzatziki dip; and for the main course a mouthwatering Short Rib Pasta with paccheri pasta, short rib ragù, parmesan and lemon ARUBA zest or perhaps a vegetarian delight of Couscous Paella with green beans, bell peppers, mushrooms and pickled veggies- just be sure to leave room for the Moroccan Chocolate Cake with dates, pistachio and caramel.

Mingle at the Apertivo social gathering to meet new friends or get more acquainted with your familiar as you feast on a host of tapas, music, wines and cocktails. This experience is ideally situated at Mercat’s bar and beachfront terrace during the after lunch and before dinner snack-happy hours. This is dining done right. Even the lighting and Southern European music are programmed to vary throughout the day, adding to a fresh ambience for each visit – – just as fresh as the fare, all senses are tantalized at Mercát Restaurant.

Grand Cayman

The Cayman Islands – Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman  – how does that jingle go? “Those who know us love us.” To be fully in the know, then you must take a gander at the upcoming debut of Dart’s Hotel Indigo on Grand Cayman, scheduled to greet  travelers in the second quarter of 2024. That’s just enough time to secure flights and maneuver vacation time. The location is ideally situated just south of the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, along the Esterley Tibbets Highway. Don’t let the term “highway” evoke visions of hustle and bustle, rather the opposite. It’s more of a calm, open stretch of road that is the major traveling conduit between the airport near Georgetown and West Bay, where you can take a trip to Hell – the famous black, jagged limestone formations, that is. One visit, and you’ll know why the name is so apropos.

Hotel Indigo is the ideal respite to venture from to partake in the natural wonders of Grand Cayman. Just envision yourself and the family, if so inclined, as occupants of one of the 282 exquisitely design-driven guest rooms. After a day frolicking at the beach, strolling through serene urban island settings, dining in some of the finest world-famous gastronomical establishments in the Caribbean, or shopping for that must have memorabilia or island fashion; rest easy that night knowing that your accommodations are having less of an impact on the environment, since the resort will be built to LEED standards. The upper midscale branding boasts an attention to providing a fun and approachable experience with “quality, service, and excellence” as their standard. It’s not too early to begin making your plans for a stay next year at the exclusive Dart’s Hotel Indigo, Grand Cayman – so, let’s go to be in the know and fall in love with the Cayman Islands all over again.
